Howdy Y'all!

I am writing a free ebook and I'm looking for contributors.

The title of this ebook is:

Looking for both women and men! Are you interested or know anyone that might be? Please respond below! Don't you think it's time for radical changes in the world? I certainly do. I believe we need to generate new holistic and creative ways of living in the 21st century. We must come together and design new models in our communities to affect meaningful change and give value back to thing things that truly matter.

If you are with me then contribute! You could choose any one or all of the 4 C's and express how and why it is important in your life, aspects of your world or global world today. One page will be sufficient.

I'm providing contributors with a link back to their website along with a short bio and picture next to their story.

Let's inspire one another and become catalysts for creative change!

The above might make me sound like I'm running for office but I assure you I am not. :) I am just a girl who wants people to be happy in their work and in life. I value being an artist and this is a great way to honor that! Are you with me?

Saturday Poetry and Story

I have been so very much, enjoying the space and time in the morning right before the sun comes up, writing. It is a sacred time indeed and I wanted to share today some of my writings. It's a little bit nerve-wracking because these are things I never share. I think it's okay now.

Emily Noelle
Awakening

As I sit and watch
the rain fall from the sky
feelings of renewal and hope
wash over my soul.

The possibilities of new adventures
shine in through the window
as the sun breaks through the clouds.

The coolness of rain has awakened
this inner hope
and the heat of the sun
moves the energy inside towards
transformation and evolution of my life.

Luminous
The Rainbow Scribe
The light is bright and blinding. After a few seconds, hues of red, yellow, and orange adjust to my eyes.

I stand illuminated.
I stand in the light of myself.

My heart and soul become one and I radiate so brightly that my body can no longer be seen.

What beauty is this? What joy? What love is this?

God? is that you?

Sofia in an Italian Cafe´

Maybe this will be a short story? I was recalling my time in Italy. How I wish to go back again!

She played with the necklace that dangled around her fingers as she leaned her elbows on the table below. The fizz of her strawberry soda settled as the pink foam evaporated into the air. Looking far into the distance she searched for the pictures in her mind that would illuminate the path she should follow. She lingered there for a moment or two and after a few minutes the noise of the streetcars snapped her back to her current reality. The waiter came back to the heavy, rustic table with her order. The food smelled deliciously divine. The smell of basil and garlic teased her nostrils and instantly she felt the sensation of hunger return. Each bite was a mini explosion in her mouth. Her eyes closed at every savory bite and her mind produced colors for each flavor she recognized. The sun peeked through a flapping umbrella above and reflected his light on a glass of red wine that she now focused her attention on. Heaven! The food, the place, the sounds, and smells were absolute Heaven. The corners of her mouth held red tomato sauce that she slowly licked off as if trying to stimulate each taste bud from the tip of her tongue. After another gulp of wine, she exhaled in satisfaction. For a moment, she'd forgotten all of her problems. For a moment, she allowed herself to enjoy life. She came to the end of her meal and like a puff of smoke that vanishes into the air, so did the heavenly feeling that permeated her body and soul a few moments before. Staring off into the distance again she played the video tape of her life over and over. What to do? What to do? Will the answers come... and when? Will it all be okay?

Expressing through writing today. Thank you for reading. How will you express your creativity today?

Listen to Your Heart

As a woman who has decided to live authentically and do only things that make my soul sing, I have taken the message to listen to my heart and trust that all will be well.

I knew that quitting my job as a professor of pharmacy after nearly seven years would be a huge step towards this way of life. I also knew that I would be leaving behind financial security to dive into the scary unknown.

Sometimes I find it difficult to allow others to help me because I am so used to doing it all myself. This is a most humbling gift. I have come to understand that things and people come to me for a very good reason and that I should accept them with love.

Over the last six months I have met many beautiful people, where I live and online. The connections have been so powerful and each of them has proven to be a part of this new path I am taking. Each day I am affirmative, intentional, and focused on what I truly want for my future.

Shiloh Sophia McCloud
Lately I have been dreaming that I was painting in my grandmother's old New York City apartment. The air smelled like sazo´n that wafted in from the kitchen and I could hear salsa music five floors down from the street below. My grandmother sold that great 8 bedroom apartment back in the nineties but the memories never go away. I wondered what this dream was about. Was I wishing to visit my past? Did it have something to do with my future?  Then this morning in an instant it was clear.

I don't know how I came across this workshop in my internet surf this morning. I did however know that it was meant just for me! What's more is that I found Shiloh Sophia McCloud over a year now, nearly two, when I saw her work I intended to one day meet her and paint with her. I was just so drawn to it.

In an instant and without talking myself out of it, I decided to book the workshop and a flight and hotel to New York City! I know, know, know it's meant to be! And! As an added bonus my dear Goddess Chronicles friend Jade Scarlett will be joining me! After posting my status on Facebook she asked if I would meet her....for lunch or something...I told her about the workshop...she was over the moon! Within a minute or two she confirmed that she had just signed up for the workshop! We laughed and cried and just knew we had both listened to our hearts!

Stay tuned for updates friends!

What is being whispered to you right now? What is your heart telling you?

What Kind of Love?

Ah! Love! Don't you just love it? I have always been a sensitive gal, a romantic at heart. Most people don't know that about me until they have spent sometime with me.

I love old romantic classics, romantic movies period. I love watching actors do their thing on film! Passion, romance, compassion, humor... it so moving. Some of my favorite quotes from films are:

"I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you." – Dirty Dancing

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever." – The Notebook

"Hearts will never be practical until they are made unbreakable." – Wizard of Oz

"Don’t forget I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." – Notting Hill

Lots of people say "Oh that kind of love only happens in the movies!"

I think, I know it happens in real life too.

I got to thinking about all the different ways there are to love and what I have experienced and wanted to share that with you today.

When I was a teenager I was INFATUATED with this boy. This is one kind of love. Infatuation is a fantasy and for me went away completely when I got to know him as a person. I didn't really like him after all.

PASSIONATE LOVE came much later in life. We have all experienced moments of love on fire, if you have not, I wish it for you.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE came when I lay eyes on my nieces and nephew. My beautiful sister honored me by letting me name all three! They are the light of life and no matter what they do they are loved!

MOTHER'S LOVE comes from a relationship that made me feel safe and accepted. This love does not have to come only from a women.

FATHER'S LOVE is just as important as mothers love because this kind of love has guided me and supported me to take action and accomplish things in the world. And again it does not have to come from only a man.

DIVINE LOVE is remembering the Truth of who we are and seeing the goodness in all things and people.

ROMANTIC LOVE a sense of mutual passion, caring and respect for a partner.

SELF LOVE is love in which you accept yourself and treat yourself with respect. Self love is living authentically.

I'm sure there may be more kinds of love in the world...these are the ones I have experienced. What about you?

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! LOVE TO YOU ALL!

Affirm the TRUTH of YOU!

I have been thinking about writing this post for sometime now. Something from within kept nudging me to share. I know when that happens I should pay careful attention because it is my spirit guiding me.

It’s hard to ignore, especially in the mornings… in the space between waking up from a dream and what is real in the physical sense…have your been there? In that space where a floating sensation permeates your mind… but your body, as it moves, can feel the coolness of bed sheets left exposed. That is Spirit, my very soul shifting inside, telling me to listen and moving me to action.

This week I kept hearing and reading the words affirmation, truth, and divinity. They stood out to me more than ever before. I was not sure why but I knew that I had to sit down and write about how using affirmations has changed my life.  For the last two years I have faithfully practiced living with intention and remembering the truth of who I AM. This way of life is still very new and not without its difficulties. There are very trying days but I have come to understand that it is during these times when affirming my truth is critical! Consistent practice of writing and using affirmations has proven a very powerful exercise in my evolution.

It helps to be supported by my husband and my friends and family. The woman who changed it all for me though, is Reverend Linda Martella-Whitsett. Her book How to Pray without Talking to God changed my perspective on what TRUTH actually means. After taking several workshop classes with her I began to write affirmations according to her prescription by using juicy adjectives and really coming alive with a sense of authentic connection to my spirit.

There is a power behind the words we chose to speak! As a creative person and painter I have come to appreciate the idea that my mind is like a blank canvas. I can choose the words and thoughts I paint there. Using affirmations helps me to catch myself when I am speaking or thinking something that is not aligned with the TRUTH of who I AM. It is so much more than positive thinking which for me states I WILL as opposed to the more profound and powerful I AM. It is a verbal announcement to my spirit that I choose to live liberated from the fictions that I am not enough, worthy, beautiful or any other untruth.

I write affirmations often and post them in several areas of my home. This is an effective way to build on my spiritual commitment. I know that using affirmations faithfully can work for you as well but you must commit to putting them on paper and using them! Affirmations also help me when I pray or meditate; they can be good mantras!

I made something for you. It is one page of affirmations I have written and that I use everyday. When I wake up in the morning I choose one that will be the focus for the rest of the day.

It always amazes me that on the toughest days my chosen affirmation can pull me out of a dark place by staying committed. Please take it. Print it out and hang it up where you can see it. Make several copies and hand them out to friends. Spreading this message can elevate our spirits and how we live, love and move away from negative limitations.
