I have the pleasure of introducing one of my fellow Fly Sisters, Rebecca McFarland today. I first met Rebecca about two years ago through an online course with Kelly Rae Roberts. Immediately I was struck by her beauty, brains, and talent! This girl is an amazing artist! Truly. To me her work speaks mystery and has such deep emotion behind it.
What's more is her gentle and kind spirit. Rebecca is very modest when it comes to her artistic abilities. No doubt she is a superb actress but she is equally an outstanding artist! Without further a due Rebecca McFarland.
Hello everyone! I am an actor and artist living in Los Angeles. I’m from
New Orleans originally and started acting around the age of eleven. It
was the only thing I was really good at. As a result, I decided it would
be my life’s work, and it has been.
I started painting in 2000 after a
five-month trip around Europe. I was so inspired by all the art and
architecture that I picked up some oil pastels along the way and have never
looked back.
This was a major growth moment in my life. I had never
drawn anything other than a stick figure up to this point. Painting is
not easy for me, but it is one of my greatest joys!
I love to
decorate, go to flea markets, read, have dinner parties and spend time with my
one and only. You asked what makes my heart sing? He does.
